This is Sumanta a 27years guy who wants all your kind blessings. Acting n Photography was my love once. Photography is my first love but it has become my passion now, and acting has become my profession now.
I discovered my interest in acting when I was in my fourth standard. After that started acting in a 'para theatre'(local theatre group). Then the time has gone with it's own rule and I also have increased my acting skill.
In 2002 I joined a Kolkata based group theatre named 'Saptarshi'. And performed there in a lot of their production like Rabindra Nath Tagore's TOTA KAHINI, others like MAYA, EYI MUHURTE, BHARAT BARSHA, etc. in many places throughout India like Noida, New Delhi, Mumbai, Haldia, Pune and Kolkata obviously.
At the same year in 2002 I got an opportunity of getting attached with a TV production house named 'Ujan' as TV anchor and photographer too in my life first. It was an warm opportunity of getting experienced in TV's world. And I gathered a lot of experience in making a production. I did some of production with them like FASHION AKHON a non-fiction show, DAWS DIGONTER GALPO a fiction and weekly based telefilm show, etc.
In the year of 2004 I got another offer from a Kolkata based channel Sonar Bangla to do act in their fiction comedy serial HA HA HI HI. And I got a lot of admiration from the every side of Bengal almost for my acting skill.
At the same year in 2004 I got admitted in a grooming and modeling institute SMPAi Kolkata. I got well groomed and won FACE OF THE WEEK title of The Times Of India.
After finishing my course I got a lot of offers for photo shoot from various kinds of company for their own product like AJANTA SHOE, ANANDA BAJAR PATRIKA, PARLE G, PARLE MARRIE, AIR INDIA, KISSAN FRUIT JUICE, ANNAPURNA JUICE, L'OREAL HAIR PRODUCT and many more.
I did press shoot for lots of magazines like UNISH-KURI, THE TELEGRAPH, THE TIMES OF INDIA, SANANDA, YOG-BARTA, etc.
I did a lot of Ramp Shows also in my career with many famous designers and choreographers like Samrat Mukherji, Snehashish Bhattacharjee, Ashish Banerjee, Prithwiraj Ghosh, etc.
I started my career in full fledge from 2005 in the acting circuit. Since then I acted in a lot of daily-soaps like GHARER BHITOR GHAR by Bishnu Paul Chowdhury, POLICE FILEZ by Arindam Basu, NANA RANG-er DIN GULI by Robi Ojha, DHYAT-TERIKA by Kushal Chakraborty in a very funny character. I also acted in Bengali daily-soap in ETV Bangla named MEGH BALIKA as a lead character. It was an airlines based story where my character's name was 'Flight Attendant ANIK SENGUPTA'. It had become a hit one since it's starting of telecast . As well as my character also got to be famous. And day by day it had increased it's glamor as well as I also got a sound publicity from my entire viewer. I also have done Zee Bangla's daily soap KHUJE BERAI KACHHER MANUSH.
On 2007 I got a call from my childhood dream city Mumbai. Mr. Shiddharth Sengupta called me for his TV soap EK CHAABI HAI PAROSH MEIN of Star Plus. Also I got a call from a hit comedy daily-soap for Sab TV named MAHOLLA MOHABBAT WALA.
But on that period I couldn't sift in Mumbai due to my tollywood work load.
Ohh buddies let me inform you that my debut bengali film named MULLICK BARI has been released on 2009. My co-actors are like Rimjhim Mitra, Ritwik Chakraborty, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Supriya Devi, Kanchan Mullick, Rishi Kaushik, Swarnakamal Dutta, Pallavi Chatterjee, Bivu Bhattacharya, Biswanath Basu, Kharaj Mukherjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, etc. I'm really so exited about this film.
An another film is also waiting for it's release. Let me inform you once again,. CHAI GARAM is the third film of young director Aditya Dutt. After getting massive hit of his film ASHIQ BANAYA APNE he is making this film named CHAI GARAM. Really it is a big opportunity for my career. I am acting there with lots of kingsize stars are like Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Esha Deol, Celina Jaitly, Sonali Bendre,etc. My character is High-Tech IPSPolice officer of Kolkata.
Nowadays I got attached with Doordarshan Kolkata as program HOST for their weekly program MISS FIT. Its a beauty talent hunt program. So do watch me almost every week at 8pm IST.
Hey!! You don't think that with my busy schedule I forget about theatre. No, I can never forget about my first acting platform. I was attached with Kolkata’s famous theatre group 'Charbak'. And also have done a drama project named "MUMMY" with my first group theater 'SAPTARSHI'. I have done the character of 'Pharaoh Sesotris' in this production.
Anyway, this is my world now. I want to go further ahead if I have all your kind and expensive blessings.
